Yeah it was a couple of second delay, I'm guessing it does this as you don't want the headlights constantly turning on/off if you're going through a few tunnels or under trees

I was wondering if I was going to look a bit of a dick on the vid while I was waiting for it to turn off lol

I'm guessing if it was instant and you went past a bright light and all your lights cut out you'd be in a bit of bother lol

Plus everytime you went through a tunnel, as the sensor passed directly under a light it would flash off then on then off.

My guess with the coming home lights etc, you would leave the switch in auto position.

They would be connected to some kind of switched permanent live that comes on when fob unlocks, goes off when fob is locked.

Press button to open car, powers up the switch for auto lights, senses it's dark through sensor, turns lights on.

Get home, get out car, press lock button and powers down system.

You'd just need the live for the whole thing on something that switches with fob? Obviously you can't use anything to do with door mechanism etc as your lights would turn off when your anti-hijack operates

The coming home function works off your indicator feed

Especially when the wire I need is right behind the headlight switch on the CCM :afro:

Really losing patience with the Golf at the mo what with it needing spraying and now one of my TT hubs decides to crack when I was fitting it.

Just nipping up the shock bolt and felt a bang, looked down and saw the dirty great big crack in the metal. So I am now running one TT hub and one Golf hub... Found a replacement but just need to get it to my door, you'd think I lived in Australia with the hassle that comes with delivery over here

In other news it's booked in to have the door and sill sorted on the 10th of Feb, I'm also looking at swapping my Anni skirts for a set of Votex skirts so watch this space

Not so good with the hub, keep with it and I am sure it will work out fine in the end.
