Re: Wazzzer's 1.8T... custom Bora Sport clocks assembled

Had a bit of time to play about today so I decided to sort my pipe route at the back end for the WMI as I wasn't 100% happy with it

Result is I managed to lose about a foot of pipe and it's a bit more direct now

Underneath

Inside the boot

I also added my tap in case I ever need to shut off the system and remove the tank (like when I fit my float switch)

Then I moved to my throttle housing to see if I could get any more angle on the butterfly. The missus wouldn't come out to keep the throttle pedal pressed so I replaced her with a piece of wood

Luckily my VAG COM cable is log enough to get the laptop in the engine bay with me

VAG COM reading as standard

and a screwdriver to open it a bit more...

Then the reading fully open

so I've now got to dremel a bit of the stop away on the throttle housing to get it to open up fully, I'll do this once I can get the car outside my house to run some power out there

thanks mate

Sorted out the throttle stop with my dremel

The wife's replacement holding WOT

The stop ground back, not pretty but you can't see it unless you look for it

and the result..

:afro:

The comfort indicator parts are here and waiting to be fitted

and I've soldered the wires ready for the clocks changeover, nicely numbered both ends with some labels from work

I'll try to get started on it over the weekend but I'm lacking an outside temp sensor. I have one from a Passat but not sure it will work, only one way to find out

Just means the throttle butterfly is a little bit less restrictive as it's near enough at 90° so will be flat.

The comfort indicators blink 3 times when you flick the stalk, good for quick signals on the motorway etc

Yeah it's just a case of popping about 4 wires out of the original multi plug then just following the diagram.
