got myself some matt black vinyl from ebay for a couple of quid and have just covered the visible intercooler pipe with it, worked a treat

Will be fitting it back on tomorrow and also seeing if I can shove the intercooler back a bit if I cut some of the front panel away

Realised I don't have any pics of the plate welded on the MAP sensor boss so took one while the pipe is in front of me

Hopefully have it back on tomorrow

Pipe is back on and looks loads better

I managed to cut away a bit of the front panel and gave the intercooler a good shove backwards, probably only gained 5mm but it's enough to get the grille on properly

Speaking of which I've trimmed up the grille as well but I left my camera at work so no pics as yet.

Cheers mate. Yeah it's a good fit, well worth paying the extra over the eBay coolers if you want to keep it looking standard IMO. It looks a bit rough near the pipe but none of that will be visible once the grille is in. Just test fitted it and it's spot on now, will get a pic in the morning

I was thinking about spraying it first but with this stuff being so cheap now and so easy to fit it was a no brainer. It won't flake off either
