Washed it. First time in ages.
The sun came out just as I finished drying it.
Reminded me why I really like this car and the shadow blue colour

Would be interested to see what a Shadow Blue with Glendales looked like.

Think it would look great and be a unique combination.

Only recently purchased my MK6 and even more recently just got it back from having a new air intake manifold fitted - cat converter light came up 4 lights after pick up.

Today just gave it a good clean, removed stickers from previous owner 'purchased at..' etc and replaced tax disk holder.

Exhaust really needs a good clean, could anyone recommend a good chrome cleaner? I've heard autosol is pretty decent.

Not seen any photos of any yet. I have seen loads of photos of then with the watkins glen 18s and the darker shade of silver works well with the shadow blue. Im not sure how the black of the glendales would look.

Either Britemax Twins (Cleaner & Protector), or just go buy some Wire Wool from Halfords, and use a degreaser with that, and then just protect them with metal polish such as Meguairs or something similar.

Heres the results from mine, after just a quick going over..

I drove mine (first time in ages) and thought it felt a bit old and dated. Maybe it's because deep down it is still a Mk5 and things have moved on, or I'm so used to the comfort and gadgets in my Passat.  :undecided:
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Gave it a wash.
Made sure all the lights worked prior to its MOT next weekend.
Checked tyre pressures and inflated to correct level.

Finally had a morning off to tinker.
So the Carbonspeed filter unit is fitted  Nice, thanks Mike.

I had been re-learning to drive the car smoothly with the re-map and despite the obvious change in performance had started to wonder if she felt a little choked in the mid range . The filter box has sorted that out. The Bluefin map might be geared for non-modified cars, but having done everything in short stages, i can tell the difference each bit has made. The car is running smooth like it did before but quicker and livelier. Really chuffed it now feels just like i hoped it would.

Now the rest of her needs a good clean
