Looking to fit the LED rears to my Mk6 GTI when it is collected next week. It's an 09 model, so will I have to upgrade the BCM to a later version to get all bulb warnings clear, or will it all clear once coded via VCDS?
Thanks
Aaron

Probably not:

You can buy the LED connectors ready made online.
My 59 plate did not require a new bcm module.

I followed that guide when fitting mine, but when it came to coding, I lost my DRL's. I've not had chance to get to the bottom of trying other suggested codings yet.

My 59 plate gtd's bcm would've needed updated if I'd went with oem LEDs.
That's why I went aftermarket

Oh really, who makes them online?
I'll probably just go for it and if it needs the updated unit, i'll have to get it. Working for VW has its perks when owning one!

I purchased a kit from here and it just needed recoding:

You could pick the adapters up individually from that site or ebay etc.
Wait until you've tried recoding before purchasing a bcm.

Ok brilliant cheers! And they are genuine lights?
I will get a quote on the lights from my work as I work for VW, but wont hold my breath they will do me a good discount lol.
