It's literally a 5 minute job.

Unscrew the thumb screws that hold up the felt tray under the glove box, lower and set aside.

Slide the tray holding the filter to open, then lower filter out. Replace filter and fit in reverse of removal.

yours can't be dirty surely!

by the way my passenger side had a terrible rattle which comes and goes (never happens with a passenger in though)

i traced it today to the felt trim with the heater vent holes in it which your talking about.

it rattles around a lot and i found if you bend the edge nearest the bulkhead up as much as you can it stops rattling

no i have a nice new rattle which sounds like a plastic clip or something sliding around inside the steering column shrouding. what a car

Have a bit. Sill lift location took a battering again so need to underseal them. It's tucked up until I get a chance to do them.
Will check underneath at weekend but need to get the daihatsu off the ramp first.
Need to check as they fitted the waste fate clip so need to check they did not damage anything else under there.

Yes I've just had the 2 year/12k service and that item was ticked on the service sheet, whether they have changed it I don't know unless I remove it.

They changed mine but put a white standard filter in and not the charcoal one.

Got a charcoal one now
