Yeah exactly like that.

you've seen them at the front because its been re-located to the cold side of the engine. But the kit looks more like this one...

Thats a forge relocation kit.

people re-locate it to the front of the engine because its the cold side hense colder air, More dense and better performance.

And i dont know what you mean about fitting it somewhere else? the bit you need to plug is the pipe going from the Intercooler to the throttle body... is there another hose coming off the DV? one that i can't see in the pic?

no there's only 1 pipe on this dv. the 1 i got 2 go on as the 2 pipes.
pipe i was on about is the 1 that this dv is fitted to/ wheres is it as standard, and redirecting is a good thing if its done tidy then.thanks for your help

no probs mate. if you get stuck just look through my project thread and there will be a pic of my engine bay somewhere along the line showing how the DV should go. Just make sure you plug that hole where the Intercooler goes to the Throttle Body...

Maybe a daft question but do you declare it to your insurance and if so, does it make much difference to your premium?

Just thought I'd add to this, a couple of months ago the 007p was replaced by the 008. The differences are,

*The top does NOT turn to adjust it has 3 allen cap screws to remove the top.
*Then you change the spring as per the 007P.
*The flow is very similar to the 007p, but the vacuum chamber has been made smaller which causes the piston to react quicker than the 007p.
*Also the piston design is different and now has seals on the piston body to make an even beter seal

and as a bonus you get a free forge keyring and all the bits needed to take it apart and clean it etc, plus all the different springs and spacers
20vt conversion, sig pic coming soon!

im ordering my 008 tomorow from forge, and i keep seeing that its best to buy some 4mm silicone hose, what length would i need,i'll be keeping the dv in the same place, not going to the 'cold side'.

i only ask,as ive just seen the photo's of 'big stevie's mrs' fitting his valve and thats some distance of hose he's got there!!
