Paint Defect New Car
« on: 16 January 2018, 21:16 »
Took my new Golf into dealers today as I noticed that there was a small line of 2mm thick and 12" ling of black plastic bumper showing on the passenger side front bumper training edge wheel arch area.  i suspected either a smart repair prior to PDI or it was missed at acceptance off the transporter and was a paint defect from manufacture.

So the dealer said they had a paint technician on site and they sepnt an hour repairing it - it looks like new and they definitely haven't flashed into the bumper which i didn't want.

My question is:

1.  I don't have a job card saying whats been done, but I've asked the dealer to send me an email so I'm protected should the paint have problems in the future.

Whats peoples thoughts on this remedial action.
