Hi Everyone,

I thought I would share some pictures of my Golf R MK7.

I bought the car in April 2017 with 16k on the clock. The must have's were: 5 doors, DSG, leather Seats, white!

It came with a panoramic sunroof which I wasn't particularly bothered about for but I have to say I absolutely love it! Use it everyday pretty much.

Although it is a great car as standard I couldn't resit making some changes to personalise it and improve the performance.

These are the things I have done so far..

*Upgraded 19" Genuine VW Pretoria alloys
*Gloss black wing mirror covers
*VWR Lowering springs
*VWR Intake
*VWR High flow intake pipe
*VWR Turbo muffler delete
*VWR Turbo elbow
*VWR DSG paddles
*VWR Custom gloss black decals
*Lockwood satin chrome door sill protectors
*Milltek resonated valved cat back exhaust with black Cerakote oval tips
*Gloss black wrapped spoiler
*Gloss black wrapped half roof
*Gloss black wrapped grill, front VW badge mount, front lip inserts, side vent indents
*Gloss back Maxton spoiler lip
*EBC Turbo grooved front discs with yellow stuff brake pads
*Painted satin black rear brake hubs
*DTUK Pedal box

Thanks mate. When it came out I had a picture of one on my home Mac as the desktop pic. She will be mine...

Yes, very rapid. Will be looking to get a remap once the warranty runs out so it's a little smoother. Possibly down-pipe later.

Very nice. I like the black on white touches. I'd also have the rear half of the roof in black too.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7. Green Mk2 here to stay.

What’s going on with the steering wheel? Super shiny!

@eug2huge

Your car looks awesome.

I’m aware this is straying off topic however I wanted to ask - have you had any issues with the Racingline paddleshift upgrades? Some upgrades seem to involve plugging wires in etc. However it doesn’t appear that these do?

I’d be too scared to instal myself, might pay you to install if I buy them!

Hi Mate, thanks.

The paddles are dead easy to install. There is simply a pin in them that you pull out gently with some needle nose pliers, 2 mins!

I know what you mean though as on my MK6 GTI it was a mission. On that car you do have to disconnect the battery, take the steering wheel apart and unplug. Having said that though it is one of the best upgrades you can do with a DSG. The stock paddles are shocking in comparison. No good if you want to shift while hooning it round a slip road etc..
