Theres so much on this.
Wirings the most difficult bit and thats not that bad.
Youll want a gearbox thatll handle the bhp. Tdi mk3 box is a good choice.
Youll have to convert to hydrolic clutch. Easiest way to do that is a mk4 golf clutch pedal. Plus youll want the throttle pedal for the electronic throttle.
Custom down pipe for tge ko4. Trackslag make one
2.5 inch exhaust system and figure out where your putting the intercooler.

Oh the front mk2 golf engine bracket needs widening about an inch.
Rear gearbox mount needs the hole elongating and engine mount bolts straight on the engine.

About it i think

Tell me about it I've spent days reading different blogs and will most likely spend many more   I'm a mechanic to trade and the mechanical side doesn't bother me too much, struggling to find a diner with a BAM engine the ones I have found the owners want a small fortune  :embarrassed: just wondering how I upload pictures to my post??

Using photobucket or something like that.
Personally if it was me and ive done it ide use an auq or agu. Agu is dbw so less work but mapping them is becoming harder.
Amk is the same engine. Id look at a s3 thats bodywork is hanging and then take what you need and sell the rest to recoup some money.

My last 20vt i bought a full bundle mi us turbo of of ebay for 400 and then got the ko4 later on. But that was an agu engine. Tdi mk4 box with selector. Loom ect ect

Thanks for the info lemski 😁.. also what are the benefits in fitting a mk3 subframe over the mk2? Is it better for fitting bigger brakes  and suspension wise?

Subframe the same. Wishbones are longer and widen the track. Brakes wise if you have the hubs with seperate carriers all you need is 280mm carriers discs and pads. Your 16v callipers will bolt straight up.
If you want bigger than that people have got 288mm discs redrilled. Or you can go early ibiza cupra brakes but youll need i think 17s to fit

If you copy the img code they should just show up on here for pics.
Put a forsale ad up. There were some people asking not long ago for bits atleast.

Sorry a roll over jig. Do I just start a new topic for the engine or is there a for sale section?
