Title: overfuelling
Post by: dubslug on 17 July 2017, 10:57
hi all
ive got a problem with my pb engine 1.8 8v

bit of back ground info
car was off road several years
replaced old fuel for new
new fuel filter
under car fuel pump died replaced with working second hand one
internal lift pump died so replaced

since then when driving in first or second at low speeds the engine is hesitant and kangerooy <not a technical term lol>  when you put foot down it bogs clears and then drives well.
the car stinks of fuel too
i did cure this once when car was warmish by turning off anf then on again and was smooth through all gears but havent managed since, im thinking maybe blue sensor??

Blue temp sensor or earth. My mates 8v burnt out something in the ecu and it use to just dump fuel into the engine. Injectors were always open. Only realised one day when the airfilter actually had fuel coming out of it
