Cmon, everyone knows the MkIII 8v is a complete slug.
Took about 7 grand to get mine to go anywhere! It does go now, but to be honest the performance it has should have been the standard!

Problem with the Saxo again is, they are shonkly put together the chassis is of a poor quality so is the build, so the Mk3 would win on both those counts, acceleration is debateble (sp) though, close one

... both are approx 9.8secs (according to Parkers)
altho the new facelifted VTR with 100bhp is 9.2secs. ... but with my exhaust and K&N ill be beating that!

the old vtr had 98bhp
K&N and 'zorst will give you about 5bhp and a whole lot more noise.

The old VTR had 90bhp and then the Saxo's got the crystal style headlights and fogs and the VTR was upped to 100Bhp

Lets all face the fact that mk3's are slow unless they have a VR6 or a 1.8 T. Ive got a mk2 GTD and I would race any mk3 8valve and whoop their ass.
