Title: vehicle make and model in profile
Post by: Chris 'N' Jen on 17 January 2008, 10:24
Mods;

I think it would be a good idea for our profile, mayb under our name or next to the post count, to show what vehicle we drive so when offering advice we know what we are advising on.

what y'all think

Im on a forum where you can put all that in to an actual car profile, then it has a garage page when you can see peoples cares and scroll through pics etc, its really neet, and beside there name when they post, there is a drop down box that tells you about their car.

The majority of people only have one car. Most people when asking for advice/help on things dont say what they have, hence the put it in your profile idea. If you have more than 1 car you just put em both in your profile and state which one your talking about.

If nothing else people will see what you have and maybe ask you a question relating to it.

that's what im saying..if you state in your original post what your car is..no need to put it in your sig..plus thats why all the marks are split and I probs wouldn't bother reading the writing in anyones sig anyway.. imho.. :smiley:

However, if you state in your profile what your vehicle is, there is no need to put it in the post evry time you ask for advice. For some things it would work, for others it wouldnt be as beneficial.  :drool:

I understand your point. Yes there are already sections for all the mk golf but there are a lot of variations on them eg. engine size, engine spex.

we'll have to agree to disagree...simply as i have two cars and wouldn't write it in anywhere as most people know what I drive and the likes of vaughn/slimmed, they go through cars like they do underwear so don't honestly think they'd update theirs so would have to write what they were talking about anyway :grin:
