Mapping
« on: 07 September 2017, 10:05 »
Guys (and gals presumably)

Just bought my first GTi (mk5, manual box).
I'm looking at more power straight away, was planning on getting the usual, exhaust, uprated filter then remap. When googling remaps to see who near me specialises in mapping, I keep seeing links to 'racechips'. They promise decent power and torque gains but I'm wary of them being too 'one size fits all', whereas an individual map works uniquely with your car. Has anyone got one of these chips and if so, are they any good?
Thanks, Mart.

Not too far from me, any idea how much a remap costs?
