Citrus pre wash?
« on: 04 April 2008, 22:44 »
I've read in a couple of threads about a citrus pre wash by chemical guys but can't find it anywhere.

Whats the crack with it? Can I pre-mix it in 3ltr pressure sprayer and give the car a good soaking? Does it strip wax off?

Any clues?

cheers

i use this and purchased direct from the chemical guys importer based in scotland... I will try and dig out the details...

all you do is pre-mix it as you said in a 3 or 5 ltr pressure pump thingy and gently spray it over the car... let it dwell for a few minutes but don't let it dry though

i use it combined as a 50/50 concentration mix traffic film remover and this combination seems to work very well

smells nice too!

i wouldn't use that megs stuff as a pre wash... would imagine that it would strip wax

the CG pre-wash btw doesn't strip wax... unless you use it in super strength concentrations

I thought you can mix it in weaker concentrations to not strip wax off. Prob wrong though!

Its a professional grade product rather than a diluted retail chemical and as such is more effective and cheaper to use.

cheers for the info and links, I now just need to get the pre wash!!!

I also need a LARGE pressure sprayer - I have no access to a hose pipe and I'm pissed off treking in and out of the hose with watering cans and buckets!!!
