Opinions on this Mk5 for sale
« on: 12 November 2016, 13:57 »
I'm looking for a Mk5 GTI - budget up to 7k. I'm not too fussed about options as I expect that will limit my search - and guessing that I can retrofit most of what I might want?

My bare minimum requirements are colour - blue or black, manual gearbox and cruise control (I have to drive 320 miles in a day every couple of weeks for work and my right foot gets bored  ).

What do you guys think of this?

Looks reasonably tidy to me for the price, driver's seat a little worn perhaps, and a bit sparse on options maybe?

If anyone has a similar Golf for sale let me know!

I had cruise control fitted to my mk6 gti at a dealer for 195 quid and my dad had it fitted to his last passat and his t5 so you'll be able to retro fit that.

If you get bored without cruise, then you should also consider DSG so your left foot won't get bored too!

^^^^^^ x2

Don't forget that the DSG is basically two electro-hydraulically controlled manual gearboxes in one housing!  :nerd:  The DSG is a quantum leap over conventional automatic slush boxes.
