Ah a reply  :)
I had been looking at a mk7.5 for so long the mk8 came out!
I watched some of the comments about the mk8 but to be fair I always liked it. Shame no tornado red though.
Your car looks great.
Never had a dsg before. I am an old dino. So probably will be a kings red with sunroof gti manual. I like the colour of the car around the bottom of the bumper. Need to save some more pennies though.
Then there is the m135 in misano blue. I like the brighter colours but don't need 4wd.

My budget was either a gti with extras or a clubby without. I don't really need more power or want to pay for super unleaded so for me extras was best.

Ps I've always had manual cars since... Well, a long old time. Dsg seemed like a good idea now, especially as nearly all driving everywhere is a bloody traffic jam. Dsg is not like the old auto boxes of years gone by either. No more lurchy vague slow nonsense.

As for colour I agree the choice of actual colour is rubbish but the mk7 was pretty much the same. All very conservative, except the red. I'd love to see some wilder colours!

Thanks Guzzle.
It will be a wee while yet before I place my money where my mouth is. Mk8.5 will probably be out by then :)

You might want to wait for the 8.5 anyway....
