No problem hope I'm wrong and its part you need but if not its really no hardship to make the immobiliser work. I did mine that way because it was cheaper than an early ECU or having it coded out and I get a security feature in with the bargain.

Ecu's are easy to code with vagcom takes two mins I did my mk3 ecu the other day
