Hi, hoping for some advice folks. My beloved Mark IV 2.0l GTi's fuel consumption has rocketed ( just as fuel prices hit an all time high!!)
I've run a diagnostic check and faults are knock sensor (low signal) and Camshaft position sensor (implausible signal). Previously it was also reading Engine Coolant temp sensor, but I've replaced this.
Exhaust fumes appear normal. The engine does idle slightly erratically.
Anyone any ideas? Fuel regulator? Any advice gratefully received
