Brake fluid low warning fault
« on: 29 July 2017, 19:24 »
Ok. It's not a golf!
I have a 2006 VW EOS 2.0fsi
Nobody on the Eos forum has come across this before so thought it might have occurred with Golfs.

When I take the hand brake off after about fifteen seconds I get three beeps and a message displayed saying " low brake fluid - owners manual ".
So ,
1, the brake fluid level is perfect
2, the sender is working on the reservoir
3, perfect continuuty through the connector
4, one of the wires goes to chassis ground
5, independent Bosch garage and an independent VW garage have both scanned the car and no codes are stored

So hoping golfs are similar to eos in their workings and hoping someone may be able to offer advice.

Many thanks

When you say perfect continuity .... all the way to cluster and/or central electrics?
GND connection to chassis clean - i.e. not corroded?

Only checked continuity through connector so far , thought it might had been a crimp contact problem.
Going back to behind the display scares me a little.  Don't really know what I am looking for there.
