I love glow plugs NOT....

Hi All,

Well I've got my glow plugs off the car and I've done the battery charger test and none of them glow at all, Seems a little weird to me  as the car would almost start, but not quit.
Is this likely that all of them would die at the same time? 

Any ideas would be great.

you havent blown the fuse in your charger have you?

most cheap chargers will pop due to the current a glow plug takes... get yourself some jump leads and go straight to the battery, or even better get a digital mutimeter

Yes, but I have not tested the harness yet, but the glow plugs should still glow when connected to the battery charger if there O.K?

How do I test a glow plug with a multimeter? need some help with that one please.

Just connect a pair of jump leads to your battery , clamp the earth lead to the thread of the glow plug and clamp the live to the top small threaded part of glow plug and they should start to glow in around 3 seconds and keep glowing more and more . if they dont glow they dont work ! a good way of telling there not working is that the glow tips are black and sooty where as working ones look burnt  :smiley:i always fit dealer ones as champion , ngk etc etc dont seem to last long
