No recalls at all here in the UK buddy and plenty running Revo & APR software. I would have thought they'd recall them by now if it was such a major issue. Been a good few months since the report.
Current - MK7 Golf GTI - Tornado Red, 5 Door, DSG, Performance Pack, Dynamic Chasis Control, Panoramic Sunroof, Discover Navigation, Dynaudio.

On Order - MK7 Golf R - Pearlescent Black, 3 Door, DSG, Vienna Leather, Discover Nav Pro, Rear View Camera, High Beam Assist, Keyless Entry, Dynaudio (Tech Pack)

All gone.

Now;

MK7 Golf R - Lapiz Blue, 5 Door, DSG, Carbon Nappa, Discover Nav Pro.

ok my dealer says there is no recall on our models, does anyone have anything more concrete. EliteBajan, can you get a report or something from your dealer as to why they changed the turbo?

Hi GrahamFR, Whats was the outcome for this, my turbo has just failed early 2014 car. Out of warranty, feeling I should maybe push for little more from VW, they have offer to pay parts then I pay labor. If this is a know fault in design maybe I shouldn't be paying a 4 figure sum out to get it fixed.

Robtt what where your symptoms and which dealer did you use? Mine has taken nearly 3 months to diagnose including getting VW HQ in MK and the factory involved
