Hi,
I took delivery of my new golf gti this week and have been driving around with permanent grin affixed ever since - it's an awesome car!
Only one thing has been annoying me - the passenger side mirror glass is flat so doesn't give a good enough field of view for my liking - does anyone know if VW does a curved option like on the drivers side?
Will put some photos up once I've given it a wash!

If they don't, just order a left-hand-drive driver's side mirror.
-
Just get used to it.
It's part of the Golf and it's done for a reason.
Not sure which car you had before but they are all different.
Curved glass on the passenger side - not sure how safe or legal that is.

My previous car was a 3 series BMW, that had curved mirror glass on both sides and after being used to that for four years it just seems a bit strange driving without it. Prior to the BMW I had a sucession of alfas, think the 156's had curved glass but the 145's didn't?
As for the legality of it I can remember my grandad had a fiat uno years ago that didn't even have a passenger side wing mirror as it was an option that hadn't been ticked so I'm sure it would be fine!
Good thinking with the LHD - hadn't thought of that - I'll investigate with VW next week & post prices up here.
