Ordered a MK7 GTD dsg in Carbon grey with 19" Santiago alloys. Car is in stock (currently on a German dockside awaiting shipment) so I'll be able to pick it up in about 2 weeks time. Can not wait.

Will do dan.  Got new Microfibre pad and polish system to try with it to.  Just need some warmer weather now, and the gift of time!

Think I need to get brave enough to buy a DA Polisher, just frightened of ruining the paint. What you have before Booth?

It's very hard to go wrong with a DA Kyle.

I had a Meguiars G200 v2 DA before ( think they are discontinued now) and have just sold it today.

This

I had it 3 years and it was a really good machine but I wanted to upgrade to something with a longer throw and a more egonomic design. Longer throw 15mmm instead of my previous 8mm, means the plate/pad covers a greater area so less effort involved.  Anything to make it easier helps. One thing I much prefer about the DAS-6 is the tapered shaped head of the unit which is designed so you can grip it.  It does also come with a D handle like the Meguiars one but prefer to have a hand o the front of the machine.

Have you got one in mind if you do get one?

I think I'd go with a DAS6 as that is the one everyone seems to recommend? I've seen a Challenger Xtreme one in Argos for £55 though which I wondered if it was worth taking a punt on?

Don't know if it's worth it.  Wonder what the build quality would be like?
