The Mk4's are ok, they are the same tax band as my 1.8t its the Mk5's that are almost £500 per year!!

Looks good :afro:

Check that the haldex has been serviced correctly and listen for any chain rattle. Discs/pads are also expensive so if they're low then use that as a haggling point if you decide to buy.

Loans are better than getting finance but I know what you mean, However Id make a good return breaking my 1.8t to pay back most of the loan.

Mate the money you have put in to your golf u want to take out a loan on a golf that to modify anything performance wise will cost you a fortune!! Trust me I own a v6 and I love it bit out the box they are disappointing you need to put a few quid in to make them epic anyone with a stage 1 mapped 1.8t turbo will be bored by an r32 other than the note with a decent  exhaust!!!

Also I think it's overpriced I know a guy selling a 3 door up here with less miles for 1200 less that that

I totally get what your saying, this one has already got a map onit and full miltek, I have always wanted an R32 and I have no idea why i hate the rear bumper lol

Problem I have is to get my car finished the way I want I need to spend a further 2k and im thinking now is it worth it?
If i got an R32 I see them as an iconic car, I would not mod it further than it is apart from having the windows tinted as I would want to keep it standard as possible I doubt id even put my 3SDM's on it and I can only see the price of the R32's going up the older they get, plus it has alot less mileage than my car that is the only reason I am considdering it.

tell the dude up your way i'll do a swap with cash his way if its nice enough lol

Are you certain they are the same tax?! Also that one has too many doors!
