Clutch slipping, advice needed

Hello,

my golf gti 1.8 aum is slipping, revs go up no acceleration then boom it feels like the turbo kicks in(can hear it whilst reving)

just wondering if i should get the OEM clutch and flywheel or should i upgrade?

My car is stock

You may aswell do the g60/vr6 upgrade imo, it'll cost almost the same and you'll never have to do the clutch again after that.

I just chuck a Valeo conversion kit in a lot of the time, comes with everything including bolts and costs me £149 a go.

Never had an issue.

It is effectively a G60 flywheel and VR6 clutch in a way.

Where all my moneys went.

Mine cost the same, I got mine from techniclutch on ebay and haven't had any problems, a fair few people have had a problem with them though, so it's up to you whether you buy from them.

Soo cheap for petrol clutch kits!
Diesel kits (esp the 6 speed) cost the earth!  :sad:

You never know, give us your car details and I will see what's about (even dual mass flywheels are no where near as pricey as they was)
