I average 25,000 miles a year and get about 650 miles to a tank in the TDI

25,000/650=38.4 tanks per year

It now costs over £70 to fill the tank :huh:

38.4x70= £2692 :undecided:

Anyone know what a GTD and GTI do to the tank?

It all depends on how you drive, were you drive, traffic etc etc too many unknowns. I do know that in my case and my conditions the petrol is doing 10mpg less than the deisel.

Due to the recent increase in temperature outside I noticed that the mpg has increased back to the figures I like more. e.g. 55-58mpg. Rather than 48-51mpg.  Which is good for me especially with the price rises recently.

My journey consists of
-2.5 miles at 40mph (3 junctions, 5 roundabouts)
-14 miles of motorway 70mph (0.25 miles 1 slip/roundabout with 1 set of lights, 3/4 distance 1 slip/motorway roundabout)
-11.5 miles various A/B roads at 30/40/ 50 majority (0.25miles 2 roundabouts, various 7 junctions, 10.75miles 1 roundabout)
Diagonally parked in a parallel universe.
On Order: Mk8 R, Pure White, Reversing Camera, Harmon Kardon, Heated seats all round.
Gone: Mk7.5 R, 5dr, DSG, Deep Pearl Black, 18” Cadiz, Nav, Winter Pack, Keyless, Dynaudio and Reversing camera.
Gone: Mk7 R, 5dr, DSG, Limestone Grey, 19" Pretoria's, Nav Pro, DCC, Winter Pack, Keyless, Mobile Prep and Reversing Camera.
Gone: Mk6 GTD, 5dr, Manual, Tornado Red, 18" Vancouvers, RCD510 + Dynaudio, heated seats.

So you averaged 83mph. That's good going. Especially as you would have had to stop for diesel at some point.
