Title: newbie thread
Post by: vixteris on 09 April 2004, 00:00
I just wondered why we dont have one. 8)

We are taking on alot of members right now, maybe a section of its own couldnt be moderated efficiently if there were too many new threads but it does give newbies a way of getting to know the current members and how friendly we all are ;) :D

Then again, I had no trouble becoming part of the community  ;D

Anyone who says Hi in the nonsense topics always gets a huge repsonse from the members anyway, also we can usually see who's new by the their posts, and people will usually say a hello in the response

yep, i know where your coming from ads. i dont think the current way doesnt work, just that some new people put their newbie threads in the relevant mark which means quite often the other mark owners dont get to say hello. :-\

heres an example of a newbie thread with only 2 replies and most embaressing is that its in our mark ads!!!

I think thats the Guy with the burgandy cab pic in the gallery. I'm pretty sure he has posted elsewhere and got a few "hellos" back though.
Good spot though Vix, you can be our official "Welcome Girl"  ;)
