Title: raising a mk5 diesel gt 54 plate ?
Post by: gasketface on 13 December 2015, 18:47
Hi all,i normally post in the MK3 section as that's what i'm into but i'm posting here as i have had a bit of a strange request regarding a friends MK5 gt diesel on a 54 plate.

Basically the car is too low for it's enviroment and he would like to raise it by about 50 mm.I'm thinking the rear end would be fairly straight forward but the front end is obviously going to bring more problems what with track rods, camber etc.

I have'nt even looked at the car yet so i don't know how things are set up but i thought i would post my question here in case any of you has any experience in doing this or can just offer any ideas using your knowledge of the MK5.

Thanks in advance

You could try the 'vw track suspension'... not sure how much exactly that raises the car though, worth asking vw.
