Only 12 months on...about time for an update.
Stereo went in fine once I got some bullet connectors and an appropriate ISO adaptor sorted out.
I got hold of a range of rubber tubey things from the local scrappy. I think I settled for Montego estate ones from the tailgate in the end.
Two small holes drilled into the pillar and the jobs a good 'un...
BUT I still haven't replaced the old 6x4's in the door pockets...they're still a bit rubbish.
I've heard the JBL ones fit ok, as I can keep the standard speaker covers (as mk1 golf gti's)
In the meantime I've had a summer of enjoying driving the thing - haven't really needed a radio at all!!!
