Got it back from body shop

Must say they've done a top job all round, looks great and they didn't wash it as per my instructions   They showed me pics of the damaged wheel and tyre - not good!

Does anyone know how long I should wait before waxing a resprayed panel?

Depends on the paint system used really, typically 7 days to fully cure....

Just sent my super chips unit off to be reset. It has to be sent off so will cost £232.50.

Cheaper than starting again

Surely for £290 a R-Tech Custom Map would have been a better choice. But let us know how you get on :)

R Tech custom map??

Yeah, here is thier site: http://www.r-techpower.co.uk/r-tech-vw-remap.htm

They are so busy, 3-4 weeks waiting list.

They have the best maps in the country by a mile. They use / created TIV mapping which gives perfect power through out the power band. Think they can get around 265BHP on MK6 GTI Stage 1 with no stress on any component.

Booking mine in for the end of June. - I live in Bradford and will have to travel 2 hours to get there, but well worth it.

noticed that it needs new discs and pads and new tyres so been out looking for bigger brakes kits

What are people using? Not sure if I should just buy some R32/S3 bigger brakes
dont forget the cupra brakes been red they match. They are often cheaper too.
Ap make a kit that even fits behind the 17" wheels.
I like the drivability results of the superchip mapped cars. Much smoother delivery and smoother torque than alot of maps out there. Much kinder on the marshmallow manual clutch, the weak ihi turbo, diaphragms oem dv and the cvsystem.

My cheap Gti grill came from eBay so I stripped it just to change the red trims over on to my gtd.
I'm very happy with the results.

Well after my smokey engine last week which I thought that my turbo had gone,
After an inspection the garage is pretty certain it was down to the PCV system putting oil into the intake system and pressurising the crank, so decided to fit a Forge catch can, will be testing it out properly on Friday to see if this has solved the problem

Kit is a perfect fit and everything needed to complete the job

Parts removed

Mk6 Gti Gone but not forgtten
