I've got 7.4 and I'm on 1006. Found a free online version but it's not as good as the proper version, better than nothing though.

Roll back the date on your laptop before you open etka. This will trick the program into thinking it's up to date and will open for you.

Do you change it on the etka settings or actually on the computer settings? Sorry if that's a thick question

Just the main clock on the pc. There's no such thing as a thick question, just a thick answer

Just picked up my 4 month old ex demo GTI yesterday, drove it back to Aberdeen from Birmingham trying not to get any more points.
Washed her today, will do a full detail when I get the time. I've also noted some light scratches on one of the alloys, a bit of polish improved things but might get it touched up as I'm anal about my rims. Sweet motor though, a lot quicker than I thought she would be.

Reached 1000 miles today so I went for a hard drive down some country lanes where I live. Highly enjoyable but the major brake fade I suffered was not so impressive. Although I won't be driving like that too often, I wanted to test the handling on the limit and she passed the test with ease.

Saved the original VW floor mats for when I replace the car. Fitted black mats with red stitching and GTI logo. Can't complain at the quality for under £25.
