Got some Eibach springs fitted....ride quality is still very good and the drop is exactly what I wanted.

Agreed, it seems a bit of a shame not to use LED's all round but you can swap them out for pennies...

Cheers.  Was just wondering as I'm changing to a mk7 R next year.  I swapped out all my current mk6 ones, so know it's cheap and easy.

That looks loads better, would look nice with some spacers now to widen the track a little too.

Must admit....it had crossed my mind....a couple of problems for me...

1- Ive never had spacer before
2- Ive heard lots of bad stories about poor quality spacers
3- Im unsure what sort of size to fit

Any suggestions what make and thickness fit / look right.

Im really happy with them.....if it stops raining tomorrow ill get a better picture. Ride quality has hardly suffered and they seem to ride better at high speed rather than low speed for some reason.

Make sure they're hubcentric don't go for the cheapest ones, 10-20mm should do it, and make sure you get radial bolts

H&R hubcentric, 10mm on the rear with longer bolts and 5mm on the front, you'd have to check but you may not need longer bolts on the front.

I doubt you notice any handling differences but it'll make the car look wider but only slightly.

This is where I got mine from:-

Went out for a good drive today.....I was a bit nervous the sweet handling would be lost BUT the springs are great.....They have not compromised the shocks what so ever and the car still rides real nice over bumpy corners and the rebound is still sweet. Although its only a minimal drop its really surprising when sitting in the car you can feel the difference, makes it feel like your sat in the car rather than on it....if that makes sense.

Just been trawling through my photobucket account and found this, the picture makes the wheel look like it pokes from the arch on the 10mm spacer but it actually sat flush.

Not sure if this helps or not?
