Hi all, was asked to a year back by Martin to do a protection detail on his new BMW when it arrived from the factory,
didnt have a lot of time to take loads of shots so all are finished shots with the exception of a few snowfoamed shots.
it arrived in fairly respectable condition, paint was marred on pretty much every panel, not to any great extent but enough to keep me busy around the car.
all panels were corrected using Carpro fixer and a Mirka black finishing pad on my Dewalt 849x rotory.
each panel was wiped down using Carpro erasor,
CQUK was applied/removed a panel at a time, and after an hour and a half 2 coats of Reload was applied which boosts gloss and protects the coating from moisture while its curing.
CQUK was applied to the rims also and topped with reload.
Carpro PERL was applied to the tires.

I saw a similar thread on a 3 series having pretty poor paintwork from the factory.
Think it was wet sanded to flat it back on that occasion. Seems disappointing to buy a nice new car, to have to spend a good whack of money correcting the paintwork. (Although I know this is an protection detail, but with alot of marring to correct.) :undecided:
