Hi guys. Went my local garage today to have a couple of things checked and he showed me this:
From looking on Neuspeeds site I think it is this, turbo intake pipe:
http://www.neuspeed.com/products/product_details.asp?app=29|G4&type=11<ype=ns_euro&p_id=1820 (copy and paste)
From the sounds of it... it's worth upgrading to? Is there any better alternatives, I'm sure someone mentioned using a silicon TIP before now somewhere.. no idea, I'm no mechanic! lol.
I have a 1999 KO3 turbo'd Golf GTI, remapped etc... Is it worth me having off him? Also, what would you pay for it?
Many thanks :)

Maxxeh bought one ages ago IIRC but not sure if he fitted it. I'd get a silicone tip.
-
Any idea on price i'd be paying on a silicone TIP?
If I went for this one I think I'd offer say 30 quid? lol

Around 100 for silicone tip
-
they sell the Neuspeed one in Awesome for quite a lot of dosh
-
So if we're talking 30 quid then maybe it's not a bad addition? As I don't want to spend (or even have) a spare 100 quid at the mo but I'm all for a bargain... :)
-
£150 on awesome
-
also depends what turbo that TIP is designed for...
THS TIP is good too

The link suggests the Neuspeed one would work with mine.. I'll have to try and get the part number whilst keeping it low key as he doesn't seem to understand what it's worth, and then double check it's the right bit for my car (AGU, ko3, APR stage 1 remap done @ Awesome).
-
it might be for the AUM so it wouldn't fit the K03. You need to find out what engine code it was from
-
Or atleast ask him what year and try and chance it.
-
iv seen pics of the neuspeed one n doesnt look like that but could be wrong
-
Have asked what year car and car itself it's from and waiting to hear back off him.
It's got Neuspeed stamped on it and looks like the link I posted :)
Apparently a full silicone jobbie which replaces the metal bit and the rubber hose bit going to MAF is best solution? Have to excuse my lack of understanding on this stuff :lipsrsealed:
-
Forge silicon TIP FTW!
-
i got a forge silicone tip for £85 delivered  if your offering £30 for the neuspeed why not wait for a bit and save the £55 and get the forge :undecided:
-
Aye if the Forge one replaces the lot (metal and rubber pipes) it makes sense to get one of those. Will do when the time comes then as it was on my to do list mods wise anyway, just making the most of what I've got without a ko3s, intercooler, another remap etc as I doubt I'd use the power lol.
Cheers guys :D
