That seems a lot better than the Golf's system.
I bought some axle stands but I can't see the axle's!
To use them on the jacking seams is nigh on impossible due to the jack taking up the space required for the stand.
All very confusing for my limited brain

These are a neat little idea Juggler, well spotted.

I'm wondering whether the Audi A3 8V chassis puck would be the perfect fit for the MQB Golfs.
I jacked up my mk7's a good few times wishing I had something like this but I've not seen the underside of an 8V A3 so can't vouch for any differences or similarities with the sills.

Just bought one, thanks for the link.

Have a look at this thread:

http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=269686.0

Kevin has posted a whole lot of great mods, using OEM parts. Towards the end of his first post is the mod to fit Audi jacking points, which provides plastic hard jacking points at 4 positions, like this:

I saw that thread a long time ago, but isn't that something that should be fitted as standard ?
I'm sick of paying out for things that cost buttons to manufacture and install, but are expected to be purchased by the customer as an extra.
Also, if it wasn't for people like Kevin posting about these things, who would even know that they are available ?

I've fitted the jacking point mods this weekend as per Kevins post. They work very well. I am now able to use to my trolley jack to lift the car and i place my axel stands under the welded seam bit. All works fine and hasn't marked anything!

I just got the part numbers from Kevins thread (linked above) and ordered through my local Audi dealer.

Does anyone know if this will fit a mk7.5?

I would guess it would as I have fitted all the mk7 underbody panels from the. GTE or bluemotion and it fitted fine

Thanks
