My guide on removing rear wiper
« on: 16 September 2011, 14:48 »
My quick guide on removing rear wiper.

step 1: Make a brew in a novelty mug(i used sponge bob for this job)

step 2: You will need, possy screwdriver,10mm socket and ratchet,13mm spanner,21mm socket or some good grips

step 3: pull away the black plastic cover on the wiper arm.

step 4: use the 13mm spanner to undo the first nut, once removed, the wiper arm should come off,i used a flat screwdriver to prise it off

step 5: Remove the cover on the iside off the boot by first undoing the screw located inside the handle.

step 6:Undo any wires that are connected to the motor, and the black pipe, now undo the big nut using a 21mm socket or grips

step 7:Now undo the 4 gold bolts using your 10mm socket, once undone remove the motor,i found removing it by pulling the right side out first.

step 8:Go to wickes and get a 25mm bung,these come in packs of 10 @ £1.58.

step 9:Give the area a clean up and bung in your bung.It may be a bit tight, but trust me it will fit.

step 10:Stand back and admire your mod for less than £2

10 Easy steps.feel free to add any other info i may of missed out.
this took me 20 mins max
I also sprayed my vw badge matt black whilst i was in the diy mood

It is also worth pulling the pipe off the washer bottle.
