i had a 1.4 corsa sport for my 1st car and was £1700 then 3 months after passing my test and 5 months into the policy i changed the car to a mk4 golf 1.8t and it went up by £500 so £2200 in total, just renewd and paid £1800 with 1years NCD. its a big chunk of money i would say so for a polo 1.2 or 1.4. my mate paid £2500ish for a 1.6 caddy when he passed his test at 18

The Clio didn't as it's naturally aspirated and French

Need to be getting my save on then really don't i?!
Just started college this week and its a hell-load of work, god knows how i'm gonna squeeze a job in around all this!

Really want a caddy, whats the lowest engine they can have? is it 1.2?
Also, what are the chances of me actually getting insured on a caddy? (With people saying early about it being a commercial vehicle?)

The 1.6D is the cheapest caddy to insure.

You can insure a caddy as a private vehicle, you just need to make sure you choose your usage correctly. (Social, domestic & Pleasure)

No, it is the lowest powered. In general a 1.8 diesel is the same amount to insure as a 1.3 petrol.

It only starts getting complicated if you find a turbo.

The 1.6D works out being cheaper to insure than the 1.0 petrol.
