i have the same type wheels as this

but whoever had the car first is a total bellend and never looked after them
the alloy around the outside have gone a horible dull colour and feels kinda scaley
whats best to shine these babys up?

see alot of different places say alot of different things and i dont want to fux my wheels up lol
will sanding the crap off with 220 grit get it back to shiney then give it a layer of clearcoat do?

220 is pretty harsh m8 , that wont make it shiney , maybe like 1500-2000

ok mate would i have to start straight at 2000 or start harsher and work my way to 2000 ?
and would this polish them up and get them back shiny because they are terrible
like a aluminum greenhouse after years of weather :(

do you have any pics ? up at 2000 is really fine that will shine up once polished , if they are really bad you may need to start a good bit lower, but the lower grades can leave scores/scratches. have you considered getting them refurbed ?

i will take some good photos tomorrow in the light and then see what you suggest
maybe i would be best getting them done at a wheel refurbishing place

are they pitted? if so you have a lot of work. i did some bbs's that had pitted and i started at 80.

if they are not pitted then try 600. if that isnt working then go up a grade untill you get to the finest one that actually does do something. then rub them down for hours and hours and hours!

failing that, post them to me and i will do it for you for £40 a wheel
