bike carbs

hi peeps. im back after being away for many years. still have mk3,s. you guys new me as stainesy years ago. had my golf in your calendar.

anyway im working on my 1.8 cabrio at the moment. it have the 1.8 8v lump. im wanting to do bike carbs but the issue i have is on my engine the inlet manifold and exhaust both come out the back of the engine and i want the bike carbs at the front.
is there a head i can put strait on that puts the inlet at the front?
this is my current project.

Theres a crossflow head of a mk4 but it has to be a certain one to match up. Thats all i know on the matter

1.8 is too heavy to start with.
