F1 Thread
« on: 26 March 2009, 10:29 »
I'll start the now standard F1 Thread seeing as nobody has beaten me to it:

All cars passed scrutineering so according to the F1 officials the cars are legal to race but, the bully teams Ferrari, BMW Sauber, Renault and Red Bull have all lodged a complaint about Brawn, Toyota and Williams.

Now they are saying the hearing won't be settled until after the second race, why the fudge couldn't they have got this sorted before the season started its not as if it has come as a surprise.

You would think the maFIA would of learned a lesson after last year and at least head these issues off before they start. They just don't seem to care.

stumpy and spanky probably engineered it that way to get FOTA fighting amongst themselves.

from what i've read the 3 teams asked for clarification about the diffuser issue months ago and were told it was ok aswell.

link to a nice description of the toyota and williams controversial rear diffusers

And a link to how the Ferrari diffuser looks like

Seems to me that the teams complaining just didn't have the imagination or creativity to come up with the ideas.

I'd like to think that the whingers will be told to do one, but going on previous performance the FIA will probably back track, tell the teams the diffuser is illegal and take all their points away.

Unless a favoured team win of course and then they will say it's all ok.

...and ferrari and others seem to be happy to bend the new rule themselves
