I am very very pleased with the difference the P / Steering made, except it squeals on full lock (belt slipping)...one day i will get round to tightening it up!  :embarassed:

Got hold of some Compomotive Alloys 14"x 8" wide!!  but they were badly curbed and damaged so i sand blasted the laquer off and took them back to bare metal, machined all the the lips so the curb damage had gone and got on with hand polishing them...
After roughly a week of evenings i had finished one wheel!!!  And lost interested at the thought of 3 more to do in 3 weeks!
So they went on hold and i was given a set of rare as f^ck 15" Honda Civic wheels.

These Honda Wheels are 3 spoke (dont laugh) but a kind of split 3 spoke (6 spoke if you like) and are sprayed gun metal grey with a polished dish and lip. Sweet!
What makes them rare is the fact they were fitted 4stud to 1982 Honda Civic 1.4 Limited Edition Jap spec only!!!!!!
I will take some photos when get a chance!

Had a bit of an incident involving a coffin dodger and a kerb.......

Basically he pulled out infront of me, i swerved to avoid him and hit the kerb sideways!
Damage......
Bent Wishbone (see pics below)
Rare wheel buckled, bent, cracked (left with 3 rare wheels now)
bent strut
dent in roof (think car twisted)
Bonnet lifted

Fitted new strut and Wishbone, re-alligned bonnet, and checked underside of car for damage. Couldnt see any visible signs and car now drives fine (3 15" Alloys and 1 14" steel)!!
Not sure what to do about small dent in roof, can hardly see it!

Got all the steering re-calibrated and alligned so no other problems.

                                       * Lesson of the week*

Always drive safely because a stupid t$at di*k head can always pull out infront of you!!! WA(KERS!!!

Ok, havent been on here for a very long time and thought id better update!!!  :embarassed:

Car is now on 217,000 miles, which im pretty impressed with.
Havent done any major mods lately except the odd oil / filter change, oh... and i made a set of bonnet lifters to raise rear of bonnet.
I dont know if i like this mod so ill leave it on for a while to see what response i get.
Also sprayed my 14" steelies white, i like the black car with white wheels, gives it a motorsport feel, and i also cut down and modified a Mk3 VR6 front spoiler to fit.

Getting fed up of people telling me my bonnet isnt closed so am considering removing bonnet lifters!  :undecided:

Also my tyres on my white steelies were a bit "ahem" illegal, so fitted a set of 15" Wolfrace Octane Alloys which were given to me with good tyres, not sure if i like them but they are better than the illegal tyres before.

I feel my car is looking a tad chavvy lately so am seriously considering a make over?!
The Engine isnt as healthy as id like, the suspension is creaking (need shocks), exhaust manifold is blowing a bit, and the bodywork is getting neglected.

Going off the Jetta front aswell, so looking around for either twin lamp front end of single.
