The VW caps which fit my Borbet FF1s perfectly are from a Polo, part number 6C0-601-171 > 55.5mm

Perfect, my centre caps are that size too - where did you order from?

Great thanks, last question what do VW charge for them? I can see a set on ebay for about £35.

I received a price from Lancaster VW at £38.02 plus carriage and paid £32.41 including carriage at RPS. Spoke with a chap called Michael Hindle.

Expensive day.

2 front shock abs and MOT so I’m now £640 lighter.

The shocks have been advisories for the last 2 mots with one being slightly worse than the other so decided to get them done car has only done 27k so pretty poor how long they have lasted.

Not great, but leaking shocks can happen just down to age as well as mileage. I assume you have a 6 year old car?

Today I rubbed the GTI down with a dirty rag

Gratuitous shot just to annoy Simon.
