Been chatting with Simon at DTUK and he has recomended this any thoughts ?

Course he did, it's more than twice the price.

Its negligible now anyway insurance wont cover it and would make my policy invalid  WANKE*S

The pedal box should be insurance friendly... sometimes they struggle to understand what it is if you declare it but essentially its no different to the "sport" mode most cars have these days, its just more adaptable than the fixed settings the OEM provides.

Its not tuning, it doesn't provide any more power than you have already, it just delivers it differently depending on throttle position.

Minis are geared really differently, they are designed to be city cars. A Golf is not a city car...

There are 2 kinds any advice on which one ? X
The pedal box plus is a later model with more adjustments, recommended.
Use code RF20 for £10 discount.
Fitting although basically easy can be awkward depending on your nimbleness there are picture links on here as well as step by step advice.  Basically you disconnect the fitting above the throttle pedal and insert the connections between the vacant connections
I would recommend city mode first and adjust to sport? As you get used to it.

Codes not working :( never mind thanks anyway x

Probably too late now but it’s code RF80 for discount not RF20.  Pedal Box Plus is the updated pedal box designed to work with newer digital SENT sensors, and the one to get if buying now.  Fitting advice here although it now has a oem red clip not the old dodgy grey clip which is a big improvement. Takes minutes to fit and can either get access by removing trim plate or accessing via driver’s side cubby, feeding the cable over the back or removing cubby if needs be (see P.4 of the linked thread).

Ah, glad you got the right code.

ginga ninja?

No, it doesn’t have SENT sensor, that will likely come with mk8 Golf, but the pedal box plus works with both analogue and digital sensors and looks much more modern than the older style.
