Anyone find ACC brakes very late?
« on: 05 October 2017, 11:44 »
As per the subject really, I find the adaptive cruise control ACC brakes far later and harder than i usually would and always makes me nervous (I use it a lot - M25!), this is irrespective of the distance-from-car-in-front setting...  or maybe i just drive like a ninny?! This is in a 2016 GTD in the UK...

Anyone else or just me?? I assume there's nothing I can do to change this via my OBDeleven?!

EDIT - Have googled and searched and this doesnt seem to have come up before

Sometimes I find it the same, but I bottle out and take over braking

Worth checking driving profile, in eco it lifts off / brakes earlier.

Worth noting though that the sensor range is fairly limited with the flat sensor - which is also the reason for it being limited to 100mph. If you come up to the end of a slow moving queue on motorway doing 70 it does brake very late (usually pause it and roll along and re-activate when I am closer).

No, but thanks for the suggestion. I usually use Drive. Sometimes use Eco as I like the way it shifts to neutral and idles when off the throttle. Never use Individual. Obviously use Sport when wanting more shove but not that often in the daily commuter crawl!

I'll compare Drive to Eco and see, thanks. I'll also give your suggestion re pausing it a try too cheers - sounds a decent compromise (not that one should be needed!)
