wow super slow 1.8

can anyone tell me if the golf gti 1.8 non turbo is much slower than a 2ltr 8v gti ? cs i changed the clutch and its picking up real slow,the accelarator cable needs changeing bt would that be a reason for the slugishness?

It could be, it's not like you've posted a picture or told us exactly how slack the cable is... but it could be. Should be pretty similar to the 2.0L in terms of performance though if that's what you mean.

at this moment it is slower than my old 2ltr 8v astra sr eye.if the cable does nothing you can also bet that ill give it a good kaneing from cold every morn for good measure

1.8 is 2seconds faster than the 2.0 iirc.
