Title: Track Day Insurance.
Post by: stuvine on 06 April 2014, 14:35
New member here, just bought an 09 plate Mk6 and I fancy taking it on track.
My father in law has a policy on his 911 that includes a few days of track cover in his yearly policy, I''ve tried the company he is with but they only insure "exotics", so don't do a policy for the Golf. Can anyone recommend an insurance company that offers this as part of the premium?

IF you manage to find such a policy, check VERY carefully which tracks they cover, and what type of event too.

Smaller than small print on those policies  :lipsrsealed:

TBH you're going to struggle to get cover.  Only risk what you can afford.

I wouldn't be taking what's either a daily or at the very least thousands of pounds of car on track.

Especially not somewhere like Combe on a VAG Action Day.

I have UK track cover included with my policy via Greenlight insurance, I'm covered fully comp on any UK track (with the exception of castle combe) as long as the day is run by an official TDO and my road excess doubles whilst on track, costs £45 per event/day
