East Midlands Newbie
« on: 21 July 2020, 21:08 »
Good evening to one and all, I'm Charlie from the Lincoln area: so whilst browsing and fiddling about on Carwow in the run-up to Christmas I got a ridiculously good offer on a brand new GTI Performance in oryx white that I was unable to pass by.

Have to put my hands up and admit that I've never ever been an enthusiast/petrol head and having been through countless motors over the years it's not till now that I've reached my late 40's that I've finally found one I love, I've even called her Greta, and that's what brought me here.

Thank you most kindly, I am just having a browse about and sussing things out, how do I upload pics....is it just sandwiching a link for an imgur/photobucket pic between the image brackets?

Forgive my shockingly poor IT skills  :embarrassed:

Yeah thanks, I was extremely lucky when it came to snaring Greta   having noticed the 'different' white on a GTI one bright sunny day last summer I knew from the off that was the colour I wanted.

So when she popped up on Carwow as a stock car in Wakefield with all the spec I was looking for and then some at a really good price with those extras thrown in I just pulled the trigger instantly.

Looks great, congratulations! Santiagos are a good looking wheel and a rare choice it seems these days. If you haven't already, get yourself some Wheel Woolies, they make keeping them clean a lot easier!
