Nice one :afro:
Passat B5.5 2.3 V5 170, with all the extras.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Right then!

In between jobs at the moment (have an induction tomorrow) so progress has been slow. But some OSSUM news, my girlfriends dad said that in October he will panel beat all the dents out of the rear quarter and respray it

A pic of the damage ..

Few ideas of what way to go with the car right now tho.

Option 1.... Alloys totally gloss black, even the dishes and spray/wrap the car a dark matt graphite colour.

Option 2.... Save my money for a few months and then 17'' BBS RS's & GLI chrome trim.

Option 3.... Sell it when its all fixed and buy a Nissan Silvia S15 or Passat B6. Pictures like this dont help ...

Option 4.... Black wheels and Golf front end with R32 front bumper.

Option 5.... Realise its just a car and just drive the thing

Would love air but its not really worth it on my car, the front splitter only sits 20mm off the floor as it is. Looking to change the tyres to 215 35 18 soon aswell so not much point spending 2k to get it sitting 10mm lower :undecided:

Getting air would be able more than going as low as possible. It allows you to sit millimeter perfect and adjusting for any different wheels takes minimal effort. Plus there's the added bonus of being able to raise the car when needed to avoid damaging anything underneath.
Of the options listed though I'd stick with number 5 and just enjoy the car  Remember if you swap to a B6 Passat then air is prett ymuch mandatory. Mate of mine is saving for it at the moment. They just don't go low enough on normal coils, not without major hassel anyway.
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

Gots a job now so progress can start again!! :afro:

Despite giving the alloys loads of coats of lacquer the brake dust has eaten into them on the front wheels so they are now a constant dirty grey colour  I have decided to get the whole wheel powdercoated including the dishes, my ideas are polished chrome for the v.i.p look? might look good with the gli trim?

OR

have them powercoated black with the polished bolts? Never been a fan of the murdered look but its kinda heading in that direction  dont worry im never spraying my rear lights all black

as for plans next year ... Air, BBS RS, GLI side trim, R line rear bumper, Votex front bumper
