Title: question about 2ltr cab 2001/2002

Ok i have a 2001 plate Mk4 cabrio, it is a Golf 3 cabrio.. its the model that sits on the fence.. my confusions is Engine code AWG
 is the engine the mk4 because it looks very different to alot of the photos , or is it a mark mk3 enigne in a mk4 body

It's not even a Mk4 body. The front bumper is smaller than the Mk4 as are the headlights and grille

Essentially it's a Mk3 with a Mk4 look front end so any info you need will be for the Mk3

Thanks for the reply wazzer. the only reason I posted it on the mk4 side was my post on the mk3 side didnt get ant posts back. in fact very similar on another 3 more sites. very strange . has there been a movement away from forums as a way on helping and moved to social media..

Definitely. Message boards seem to have taken over. A shame really as there is still a wealth of knowledge on the forums. They'll probably just end up being an archive
